This explains a lot...

When I was a wee lad I had the tradition of running really fast and falling on my head. It probably had something to do with the size of my noggin, which was the same size then as it is now. I've just grown into it, you might say. And how, you ask, is this a family tradition? Now my kids fall on their huge craniums. I had hoped it would skip a generation, but no.

I love it, Seth! You've captured the expression perfectly. I'm not sure I've ever seen that face at the moment of head impact, because it usually happens so quickly. But that face is exactly how it feels. Nice colors, and beautiful drawing, as always.

Painfully funny! I love the feel of the painting-like an illustration. Your kids are going to love to have that picture around to remind them of the cranial collisions of their youth.

Oh man, that's good. I love the contorted pose! Ouch!

My kids inherited my ninja-like balance... yeah, right.

I love the expression on his face, how it molds into the concrete. very nice!

I used to snort the exhaust from my dad's car when I was a kid. WHen he found out, he was pretty mad. But the damage was done...

Perfect body language- describes the feeling one goes through in the moment of impact. I know myself, having run across a playground (covered with slushy snow) and being tripped by an older kid-- I landed approximately in this configuration. Incredibly well done Seth!

Man, I can feel that one, along with the little crack of white you see in the moment your head slaps the pavement. Ouch!
