New Topic

This week's topic is "Vacation". Great work last week everyone!

Marth Daul

30 minutes of drawing crooked lines while carpooling with Shane, and one cute Sith later, here's my most recent late post...

Shane (Lewis, for all who don't know) and I had a horribly interesting discussion on the lady Jedi, and how pretty they are, yet how bad they suck at fighting. They need to unite and practice or something, 'cause the only butt-kicking lady Jedi and Sith are found in that sweet animated series that I covet.

Note the beauty mark.

Oh, and for you color enthusiasts...she's on Hoth.

30 minutes

These are 5 minute poses, adding about a minute between this would be a typical 30 minutes of drawing for me.

Kitties on the Gym

I think I spent about 30 minutes on this... Cats! Yay!

30 Minute Summer Drawing

Of course it's gonna be penguins. This is me, after all. Now I need to get some sleep so I have the energy comment on everyone's drawings from the last two weeks! Great stuff, everyone!

I spent my half hour doing thumbs for an animation I'm working on

Snape

I was considering the 7th book in the Harry Potter series (having just read it), and Severus Snape, and thought "What would he look like?" Well, roughly, this is it. Not the Alan Rickman Snape from the movies, but the Snape from the book.

Since it took me under 30 minutes to finish this I figured I'd post it.

30-Minute Sketch

I like drawing with no purpose sometimes. I didn't know what I was drawing here until I was done. I'm still not sure what its significance is, but it appears to be a variation on what I've drawn the last two weeks... which means I'm stuck.

Summer?

Alright, so my take on summer is that I draw completely random things at odd times of the day. So, here go! I added some animals and they can count as my 30 min post. I was sketching for 30 min and these are the ones I liked.

Roughly 30 Minute Sketch

New Topic: 30 Minutes

The coming week's topic is simple and not very time-consuming. Actually, "not very time consuming" is the whole idea. Draw whatever you want to for 30 Minutes... and that's all. If you have time to color it in those 30 minutes - great. If not, just post your sketch or whatever you come up with in... this week's Toon Club topic: 30 minutes. Now, draw... quickly!

I love cutting the grass.
(I don't like shoveling snow.)

Summer's Lame

I liked summer when I was a kid, but now it's just hot and yard-worky.

(If you couldn't tell, I kind of ripped off Nathan's idea from last week's topic... you like that, Nathan?!)

New Topic: Summer

Here's a vague topic for the coming week: SUMMER!

Thanks to everyone who's been posting lately. Keep it up.

JAWS..."sampled"

Of course I spent the most time on the part no one can see in the final piece.

You Have To Exhale Sometime, Kid!

Jaws

Jaws thing

A couple of years ago I saw the guy that played Jaws in the James Bond movies at a local restaurant. This has nothing to do with that, I just wanted to draw something and slapped a little color on in it. I didn't spend enough time to make the texture overlays look the way they should, they look way too photoshoppy, but I like Guy, it had been a while so I wanted to post.

Jaws

Oh man, I've been a slacker. Here is a recent shark filled Wall Street Journal piece I did. It was for some article about the dangers of investing and inflation or something like that. I didn't read the article. Me just drawz the pictures.

New Topic Time!

Hey, thanks to Shane and Adrian for posting last week! That story may have an ending after all!

This week's topic is.... "JAWS!"

That's right, it's shark week on Toon Club.

The NEVER Ending Story

Please make it stop.

Falkor's Parents

Technically I guess Falkor was supposed to be a dragon, but he looks like a snake/flying dog mix to me. Here's the scene from the "Neverending Story" prequel when Falkor's parents met at the Nothing (which is what you call it when you don't want to do a background). Yeah, that's right - a prequel... because it's a never beginning story too.

New Topic: Neverending Story

Great stuff, gang!

This week's topic is "Neverending Story"!

Ten Points to Slytherin!!!

Well, the gossip around town is that I'm slacking. It isn't true.
The truth of the matter is that I've been THINKING about art a lot. It's pretty much like drawing, but less productive and fulfilling.
So, yeah, here's a sketch I did on Photoshop on my lunchbreak.
My wife has read all the books about twenty-four times. Me, well, I've read the first one-and-a-half books. Don't get me wrong, I love the books, but I'm an art nerd so I'm always drawing.
I've heard that Hermione falls for RON at some point...what the?!!
Ron's hair is a little longer than hers, and he likes to gulp, a lot. Oh, and with wide eyes. Ron's a likable fellow, but he's no match for Harry. Harry took on a dragon. Ron, well, he watched.

Mooney, Prongs, Wormtail & Padfoot

Yikes! I posted this in the nick of time! Here's a page from the 1978 Hogwarts yearbook.

Hagrid

Who's hairier than Harry? Hagrid! Someone must've slipped some Love Potion into Umbridge's pumpkin juice, 'cause she's blowing him kisses from her office window.

Conjuring a Patronus

Voldemort shmoldemort, right Ron?

I just realized I forgot Harry's lightening scar. Ah well. Maybe it's under the hair somewhere.
