30-Minute Sketch

I like drawing with no purpose sometimes. I didn't know what I was drawing here until I was done. I'm still not sure what its significance is, but it appears to be a variation on what I've drawn the last two weeks... which means I'm stuck.

you think it has no purpose... I can tell you that in the "thousand words" that this picture is worth lies the answer to most of the world's problems today...specifically the problem that little monkey currently has.

a fine elephant. (that is not the answer, just a comment)

This is a great piece, Shane. That elephant rocks! Great sense of form.. elephant heads are not easy.. I know from trying to draw them at the zoo:P

Gorgeous! Not a single line wasted.

I love the dynamic between the elephant and the monkey... the one energetic and playful, the other resentful. This is why you make the big bucks! Beautifully crafted Shane.

Cute elephant! I love the expression on his face. It just makes me smile.

How is Nathan going to rip off this one this week? A giant monkey dangling a tiny elephant? :)

Shane, I think what you described in your comment is called DUI-- Drawing Under the Influence (only in a good way). It's like self-induced hypnosis. A state of mind where drawing euphoria occurs. Great work!
