One of my favorites, the beauty, the class, the evil that she is. I love the sharp design elements of all of the Sleeping Beauty characters. Nice choice, you've represented her very well! Hot, evil, chicks rule!
This gets my vote for the most evil villain. My son Jace will agree with that, as he used to be afraid to go the the bathroom, because he was sure that Maleficent was in the toilet. He laughs about it now, but I still wonder if it's true. It's a good thing we have good fairies putting spells on our swords. That's all I have to say about that.
Cool as a cucumber and just as deadly... uh, nevermind. Yeah, she'd be my pick for best evil vilainess (sp?). If she ever walked through my door I'd just stand there stuttering incomprehensibly as she eyed me maleficently. Sweetly drawn Shane.

Sleeping Beauty was my favorite cartoon ever... Until The Incredibles came out.
I did a double-take because at first I thought it looked like a screenshot from the movie, but looking closely, it has a uniqueness of its own.
At least this week you don't have a dozen characters each perfectly painted! But beautiful in it's simplicity and menace. Lovely.
I love how the crow (I'm sorry I don't know it's name and favorite foods like the rest of you) imitates her personality and expression.

Her real name is Mrs. Vanpelt and she was my fourth grade substitute teacher...but she had a brown bag and not a bird.

I'm so glad you picked her. She IS the coolest! She has such a commanding presence. At the same time that she is harsh and angular, she has a delicate femininity too. It is so hard to pull off such contrasting traits, but she does it beautifully. Nice one, Shane!
