I LOVE how the fur on the rabbit is puffing up over the tight-biker shorts, nice job!

I'd have declared the rabbit a cheater until I saw the Tortoise in his Mech Flight Suit. ...and frankly, I don't want to know what he's using to jet along like that. P.U.!
This is awesome! The biker shorts are my favorite part too :) I'm rooting for the Hare for being so fashion forward.
Nice rocket design, and I love the coloring and light reflection effect.

I like the mad scientiest look of the turtle. I think it is fueled by mr. Fusion.
i would think that the aero dynamics of those shorts would give some what more of a boost
I almost cant breath thinkin how tight those are
When they said "slow and steady," you thought they meant walking slow... But really it means he was taking his time to get his machine built just right.

I don't know what it is about your drawings, but I always feel like you are channelling Gary Larson.
