This is more in concert with Shane's explanation of the origins of the mermaid. This is what the less drunk sailers reported after an encounter with the manatee, I mean mermaid. It's also what the more drunk (apparently women and children, according to my drawing) report seeing at Sea World.

This is hilarious! I love that she's smoking. This is my first introduction to a white trash mermaid, and I appreciate that her back is to us. Maybe she's watching her stories. There's something very "Far Side" about it all. Love it!
So lovely... I'm glad there's an underwater viewing area, because you'd never know she was smoking if you were looking into the water from above. Oh, hey - and she has a cigarette. That wasn't the kind of "smoking" I was talking about. I meant she's totally hot.
