The Alligator King had seven sons, according to Pixar and Children's Television Workshop veteran Bud Luckey. And yes, this video clip is 100% kid friendly.
The old man's a FAKE! ok, I just watched this with my little girl 2 days ago. i thought this was a screen shot of it! Very nice. "cost me all of seven cents".
Great illo’ Thanks for linking to that animation, man brings back soooo many memories, Very influential, it may be been one of the reasons I got into animation. Sesame Street Rocks! You made my day
This is going to be a tough one for any of us to beat. I LOVE it! You followed the original designs but improved on them. I always loved this one. Do you remember when Sesame Street was cool? Then along came Elmo. I just offended so many people. This is the best, Adrian. Nicely done.
This was one of 5 of my favorite cartoons on Sesame Street-- Electric Company had some great ones too! That poor Aligator King-- oh the stuff his sons put him through. Kind've like what my kids put me through.
Okay, I've watched Sesame Street for a combined total of 50 years or more - where did I miss these guys. And I'm with Shane, Cookie Monster was alway my favorite and I thought Elmo was annoying. However, I now have a toddler who can sit through all 20 mins. of Elmo's world. Considering that's the only time of day he's does sit I guess I'll forgive Sesame Street for that one.
This illustration is brought to you to day by the word, "AWESOME!" Hooray! Fabuloso! Three cheers for Adrian Ropp! This would definitly be in my top 5 favorite Sesame Street clips, and you've handled it beautifully.
I also loved this cartoon on Sesame Street! I really like the re-design and the brighter colors! Also, I know why you chose this particular cartoon, it has something to do with the number "7" (hee hee)
