Dangerous Waters

I recently did this for the Wall Street Journal. I thought it was fun to do a underwater scene. Cheers.

You know, sharks are actually not all that dangerous unless you're bleeding somewhere or if you look like a sea lion. What I'd be more worried about is how to get that treasure chest back up to the surface without any kind of equipment.

I love the shapes of the sharks, how fun! Great colors and use of medium :D

Very cool. I'd love to know the subject for which this was drawn. This guy doesn't seem very concerned about things. I can just picture him swimming right down and pulling that treasure up, perfectly calm the whole time.

That guy must be a lawyer. Sharks don't eat lawyers as a professional courtesy, and vice versa.
Great to see you posting again Guy. Love the illustration!

I imagine the guy's all dressed up so he'll look nice for his own funeral. Sharks are awful, but they're fun to draw. Nice one, Guy.

Great one, Guy. I love the depth of it, feels really nice. Always nice to have you hangin' around the club!

This is exactly what goes through my head every time I set foot in the ocean.
Sharks are horrifyingly scary, and what's worse - they're REAL.
Great work, Guy.
You taught my senior illustration studio class a couple years back...you gave me an A- for the assignment, WHAT GIVES, MAN?
Just kidding, you were being kind - 'cause my painting sucked.
