Slow and Steady... But Still Late

I'm loving the posts lately.... Here's my entry for last week, which I'll move to the proper place in a day or so.

UPDATE: Yeah, that background was thrown together too quickly. This one's a lot more basic, but hopefully an improvement. Thanks for the feedback, chaps.

This is GREAT, Adrian! I absolutely the love the tortoise. The colors you used for the characters are really nice too. Very impressive. I like it plenty.

Yes, the Tort is wonderful. I love that slack jaw...though the background blur kinda gives me a headache..and I'm afraid to focus on the rabbit for fear that he will seductively lead me as well to the turtle's pending fate.

Late... but great! What're you trying to do... "spotlight" the characters? That was a Chewsa reference. (Yes, I know that's the incorrect spelling for his name, but you understand.) Love the colors! The blurry background IS sort of making my eyes water, or maybe that's just the emotions your work is envoking... I need a tissue.

You guys were right. Waaaay over blurred those background elements. I went back to fix them and lo and behold I had forgotten to save the layers. D'oh!

Anyway, hope you find the new background less nausea inducing. :)

BAD bunny! He looks as though he's just waiting for the turtle to step on the landmine he's buried just moments before. Love the turtles expression, and I can totally see his walk cycle-- hilarious! You've got the stuff my friend. Beautiful drawling.

I love the characterizations, linework, and colors! Brilliant!

I think in this version, the hare falls asleep by getting knocked out tripping over forest foliage while hopping backwards in an effort to taunt poor tortoise.

I'm of the same opinion that the turtle is tops. He's so cool. He really stands out against all the warm colors, which I think are fantabulous as well.

Yeah, very cool. I like it a lot. The whole tortoise is great. I agree with everyone else. I like the hare as well, but the tortoise is more than good. I love that he's blue. Cool trees. This is one of my favorite Adrian pieces.

The tortoise is my favorite thing about this drawing. I think the background is too blurred, but I love the tortoise!
