Mer-Mischief

Updated with Textures... Very rough, I don't have the original hi-res file at work.

In the next panel, the merboy is eaten alive...
...At least, if Joe were drawing this it would.
But hey! He has a fun face, and great colors over all once again! It really made me laugh, the character at work here and the mischief.

hahah awesome Adrian! I know that every time I get that face something bad happens to me immediately following it. I dont envy this kid. The sea horse is smart in his positioning

This is so cute! I love the look on the Mer boy's face! I think I've seen that look somewhere before, hmmm.... I also love the seahorse and the colors are awesome!

Nice line work, I love the detail on the fin. The lighting looks good as well... I'm always impressed by the underwater lighting you and Shane pull off.

And yes, if I drew this he would be eaten.

I wonder how long he'll poke at that shell before he realizes it's empty... how bright is the red-headed mer-child? His best friend's a sea-horse... that should give some indication.

Really nice colors and characters, Adrian. Nice little scene you've set up here. Thumbs up!

Really fun, great tropical colors, it's like another scene out of a great Adrian animation. One my favorites, great job!

really nice. That green water color is beautiful and that is one fine rock painting. I challenge you to put a scale texture on the mer portion of the boy :)

great piece.

Awesome! There aren't enough Mer-boys out there I say :) I like how his tail is raggedy.

I always love the narrative quality of your work Adrian. Nice story telling quality. Great characters too. When do we get to see the animated short?

Peter - Thanks, and you were right about Joe, it seems!

Nathan - Challenge accepted!

Ken - It's a feature, not a short! (Goes with my "Ice Mermaid") And if everyone will help me animate it we could see it as soon 2794!

Everyone else - Thanks for the feedback!

But Adrian, if we make it into a Short we might see it sometime around 2308! I'm going to have to buy myself a cryogenic chamber just so I can be revived in time for the premier. Great job!

nicely done on the scales. I think it adds a nice touch to the whole piece.
