Well, here's your problem...

I have nothing but praise for the heros that think inside the box so I don't have to.

Excellent, Nathan! I've actually had this problem before, but I figured it out before I called the I.T. guy over. Great sketch, and I'm glad someone else posted something so I wouldn't have to vote for mine as my favorite for the week... a race you're currently winning.

Two comments in two days? Toon Club is dying. I still like this, Nathan. It's jolly good. Now it has three comments.

I feel bad it had taken me this long to comment on the drawing, and I certainly don't want anyone to think that I don't like what others do, or that I don't want Toon Club to thrive. So let me make a few constructive comments about Nathan's piece and hopefully make up for my lack of participatory participation.

This week was a hard one for sure, and this topic definitely posed a challenge for many of us. But not Nathan. No, this guy took the topic and ran with it like a dog pooping peach seeds. The sheer magnitude of your "IT" guy's head is a force to be reckoned with. The limpness of the plug, metaphorical in nature, illustrates this nerd's need for some... well, you know. Clever innuendo, my friend, very clever.

Can we think of a better representation of a "nerd" then this? I submit to you that we can not! Look at the over-sized glasses and how they magnify his face. A detail others may have left out, but not this artist, no! The shoulder-less slouch, the fat but thin face, and the cliched but ever effective buck teeth all say, "Look at me, I like World of Warcraft!"

Oh, what a spectacle of nerdish delights from a sketch so wondrous and mysterious on it's paper grocery sack we can chance to think of what will come next. Bravo, Toon Club, bravo!

Dead? I think not!

Nathan, the first thought that occurred to me when I saw your sketch was... "Hey, that's my fifth grade principal!" I suppose he probably majored in ITology in college, though, so I'm sure this is accurate.

What I love about your sketches is that you take a very real world approach to the visualization of your designs, but then you skew them to give them a bit more flavor. Your drawings are kind of like walking through a fevered dreamscape. (That's meant as a compliment.)

There are a couple of really cool details here I'd like to applaud you for: First off, the way his hair is parted... Brilliant! Second, those teeth and that non-chin.... Genius! But the crowning glory of your picture has to be the glasses! I think I had a pair like that once in the '80s, which is when this guy probably bought his.

Excellent sketch, sir. Sorry it took me a bit of time to get to the commenting of it.

And Toon Club is not dead... So don't give up everyone!!! We still want to see your drawings!!!

I had a dream that I posted a comment already, turned out to be a nightmare-- cause I didn't! Beautiful work Nathan! His mouth and his hand is my favorite part of your illustration; so much care taken in crafting him. Really nice.

This reminds me of something I read: a woman called I.T. asking for assistance, she couldn't get anything she'd plugged into her power-strip to work. When the I.T. guy showed up he quickly realized that she'd plugged the powerstrip into itself instead of the wall. "There's your trouble!"
Made me laugh to think that stuff like this happens.
