This is what happens when a flying, torch-gifting monkey meets a heartless Tin Man, a mindless Scarecrow, and a wimpy Lion. What a weird story. Dorothy is arm-wrestling the Witch off screen. That was my first sketch.
Wow, nice work. Somehow you are always able to one of the characters into a jerk. Where does that ability come from?
I love your designs here, especially since you have made the monkey far less frightening that the blue face ones from the movie. I wonder, though... Is Lion more afraid of the flames or the monkey?
This is rad, man! Great expressions, great concept, and the villainous monkey is very scary. He's just so cute and cudley; the scarriest villains are the subtle ones. Good job!
Nicely done Shane. I love the character designs. The expression on Lion is fabulous. Where was this monkey when King Louie was looking for "man's red flower?"
This picture makes me *SO HAPPY,* Shane. I may need to print it out and put it over my cupboard. Yes, THAT'S how good it is. That monkey gets me every time.
Very reflective of their personalities. I particularly love the "heartless" Tin Man who is laughing at the "brainless" Scarecrow. Masterful capture of humor and a beautiful piece.

That is a riot, and the lion looks like a pill bug with an afro!
