Stupid Bus Numbers

When I was a kid I always used to forget my bus number on the first day of school. Who's paying any attention to the number on the bus that morning? I'd just climb on whichever bus stopped near my house. I never realized that oversight until after school. What a nightmare.

Hey, nicely done, pal! Look at you, taking risks, trying a different slant on your style. What a nice way to end my work week!

You've captured the emotion we all feel on the first day of school... Terror! The bus numbers are hilarious, too! I likes it a lot.

SHANE! I'm completely impressed! I love this one! The idea, the composition, the graphic nature of it all, the depth, all those sharp angles; very nice! Way to keep things fresh.

At least you were carefree enough about your first day of school that this was a problem for you. I, on the other hand, would obsess about my new bus number, and everything else I could think of. I was a stress-case!

You go Shane, I am so proud of you for stepping out like that.

The risk paid off as well.

It's my desktop. (Sorry A.)

Wow! Nicely done Shane. Love that graphic feel! The size of the buses looming like that sure makes one feel rather small. A very perplexing situation to be sure. This I can relate to. I think I was in Jr. High School before I realized the buses had numbers on them. I mainly looked for my bus driver. If I recognized them, I got on, if there was a sub, and it stopped in front of my house I got on anyway. Pathetic I know, but numbers and I were never friends. They should have drawn cartoon characters on every bus, then I'd have know my bus in a second. Beautiful illustration Shane!

This is a powerful image. There's a metaphor here, something about the Devil, and rocks, and a candy cane made of fire. I can't quite put it together. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about... you know, the midget and the emergency exit? Mountains?
