How awesome is this? Very. I love that, of all the singers and bands to choose from the history of music and all the ones that you could have made up... you chose Burl Ives. It looks great, and how could it not? Burl was a fine-lookin' man. I love it to no end.

This is fantastic! The checkered shirt seems just right. Awesome, how you can get the perfect details like that!

All the work that Elvis did with his youthful good looks, swinging hips, thick hair, & a dreamy voice, Burle Ives comes along and undoes it all. He was the original ugly bug with a strange old man voice - but he was awesome! He was even a great snowman! What a nice tribute to someone who successfully went against the grain. Really great piece Nathan!

Mr. Christmas! I always defined how well my Christmas went by whether or not we were able to watch Rudolf the Red Nosed reigndeer or the other christmas specials on T.V. or not (this was before VHS... we had to catch it on T.V. or wait until next year for it to come around again). Mr. Ives voice was an integral part of our Christmas.

Your illustration is fabulous Nathan, takes me back!

How long ago did you draw this, it's got cracks running all through it. Must be several hundred years old. How'd you manage that? :)

I came across this by accident, but it makes me sooo happy. Now if I could only get the song out of my head, my co-workers would be sooo happy. Gotta crawl, gotta crawl, gotta crawl...

That song gets stuck in my head every time I read the caption! What a jolly old guy.
