The future Hook

What a fortuitous coincidence. I've just been working on an illustration for someone based on Captain Hook so this gives me the opportunity to see what you all think of it. The idea here is to show him as an English gentleman prior to his becoming Hook and foreshadowing what he will become in the clouds.

WOW!! Look at that! It's awesome, and I love the idea. What a great face too, you can see good ol' Hook in there. Thanks for the inspiration!

Holy cow! Well, that just goes to show what talent, experience, and a Cintiq tablet can accomplish! Wonderful work, Mark!

wow, well, that pretty must destroys anything i was thinking about doing. but looks great! i like the idea that Hook was a gentleman before he became some creepy pirate in a fantsy land. Is that how the original story goes? i've never read it.. i've seen so much "Peter Pan starring Mary Martin" "Walt Disney Presents Peter Pan" and "Hook" that i just don't know what's true any more.

This is amazing, Mark! Very good stuff. Like Jed said, now I'm a little nervous about putting anything I draw on here. My greatest masterpiece is going to look like a horrible mess next to this.

Hey everyone, this was just a freak coincidence that I was just working on this Peter Pan project and had put several hours into it when the topic was announced. It won't happen like that very often if ever, so don't be reluctant to post stuff. Next time it might be one of you who has something really polished to fit the topic.

I absolutely LOVE this. It really shows the side of Hook that is only seen if you read the original novel (and is barely seen there). I love the "gentlemanly" side to the guy, and how he changed is a story that will forever catch my interest.
