Hey this is a great original solution! I totally forgot about American Gladiators, I remember the original cast with Nitro, Zap, Malibu etc. Nice drawing and I love the accurate background, good job!
I agree Brett, where's the Tiger, the elephant or the Minotaur? Not only do they even the odds but they jack-up the entertainment value. Good one Chad!
How could I forget the infamous American Gladiators? Saturday mornings would never be the same. Those flexing women traumatized me every week, yet I couldn't stop watching. I always wanted to try the jousting. This is a great illustration, Chad. Nice balance and line of action to him.
Is this just before he schools his opponent or just after? I tend to think it's post schooling, but in that case there should probably a "Ker=Smash!" somewhere on the picture.

It was cooler when their lives were at stake. It's sad how the modernized world has given up entertainment for "safety".
