The Patriotic Superhero

So... Why Superman? Well, I think he's the most patriotic superhero around. The movie opened this week. Most importantly, with the world we live in today, I just think we need strong, brave individuals who believe in Truth, Justice, and the American Way. It's something we can all aspire to.

Anyway, that's my soapbox for the week. Thanks for being in the 'Club, and have a great Independence Day!

i love the alien designs all of them. though i think changing from style to style like that would confuse me.

Not sure I understand what Madmounty is saying... but I love this one A, the light beams and falling rubble look very cool, and the Superman design is far out.

A very nice example of "squash and stretch," Adrian. Superman's being squashed, and his relationship to patriotism is a stretch. Excellent!

And also, nice drawing! I like that he doesn't look exactly like other Superman drawings I'm used to seeing. He's got a little bit of that Adrian style that I love. Nice work, man.

Adrian, you've done it again! Amazing illustration, and dead-on with the patriotism theme. Superman is about as patriotic as heroes come, I mean besides myself (all modesty asside).

So is there a building on top of that I-Beam, an air craft carrier on top of that, and Lois Lane at the peak taking notes on how Superman 'Once again' saved her fanny? Great illustration Adrian!

Thanks, everyone. I love getting such positvie feedback on one of these things.

Now I want to make a whole series of DC superhero drawings!

Superman wears a speedo! Y'all got no room to talk!

It's not a speedo if it's over other clothing! That's the rule. You can look it up.
